✔️ It is recommended to change your toothbrush every 3 months. When your toothbrush is worn out, it can be recycled by removing the bristles with pliers. The bamboo shaft can be composted at home or in industrial compost. In a bokashi home compost, it usually takes 3-4 months for the toothbrush to break down. If you throw it in the ground, it can take anywhere from 3-10 years, because bamboo is a rot-resistant material, which is the very reason why it is used to produce toothbrushes.
