How is the product used?

🐝 With the repair wax (40g) you can refresh around 3 of the large wraps (42 x 36 cm). All you need is an oven, baking tray, water bath, dough cutter or similar, DIY wax and your used beeswax wraps you want to freshen up.

✔️ Preparations
1. Preheat the oven with a baking tray for approx. 90°C
2. Prepare a water bath
3. Clean the work surface, possibly put a newspaper or similar as a substrate (wax can drip on your work surface)

✔️ Please read the instructions and preparations before starting work!
The next steps need to be done quickly, so make sure everything is well prepared!

1. Melt the required amount of DIY beeswax mixture in a water bath
2. Place your used beeswax wrap on the baking tray, smooth out and place in the oven. After about 2-3 minutes, when the remaining wax has melted (the beeswax wrap becomes shiny), you can take the tray out of the oven
3. Use a heated teaspoon and now place the required amount of melted beeswax on the wrap and spread it with a pastry cutter
4. Finally, use the pastry cutter to scrape off the excess wax.
5. Now the beeswax wrap just needs to dry. To do this, take two corners of the wrap and wave it in the air for a few seconds until your new wax coating has cooled and is solid

✔️ How much beeswax should I use?
A block of DIY repair wax weighs 40g. You can refresh around 3 of our large beeswax wraps (42 x 36cm) with this, depending on how badly the coating on your used beeswax wraps has worn off.
